I'm not sure whether to write about this number. I am afraid it will bring jinx back to my life as I'm now recovering from many years of difficulties in business especially.

Back in 1998,after I just bought a new house, my partner got an email from Ghana.The sender claimed to be political asylum seeking the transfer of ill-gotten money out of Africa.From Asia, my 2 partners who are both Australian flew to Ghana, to Benin to Tongol and to Amsterdam. Chasing around the empty boxes are not cheap.From one continent to another.What more, along the way, they were instructed to pay for expensive gifts to custom officers, chemical solution (too hard and too long to explain here)and so many other silly things. After they have exhausted all the funds taken from business partners and family, I came in.

Thanks to Western Union, the transfer were made easy for every 3 days.I sent tons out to them to accomplish their mission.I was paying stacks of money for a beautiful story i get everyday.I was almost completely dry up when I smelled fish.Together with one of the partner who just returned a day earlier,we flew to Amsterdam.

Since I have taken out all my savings, few pounds become a lot for me. Stop-over in Heathrow Airport, a small bottle of water was expensive for me.Whatever is it, I lost everything. My cars (15 of them), my business, office, family's trust! The only thing left is my house, which I still owned it until now.

Ever since then I always see 44.Everyday, more than 3 times on the clock, the temple number to seek help, the sum of goods purchased, seat number, cinema ticket,queue
number. Just name it, I will always get 44.It was a black omen for years. Once i shared with someone in the family and my other business partners, they too will see 44 thereafter.

Lately the number appeared less but i was thinking about Obama.Who is going to the 44th President of United States Of America soon.Though I'm not American but I'm proud that he has been chosen.Will it be blessings or black omen? As the world is facing the financial meltdown and i think US is going through the toughest times now since the second world war.If you have a hole in the roof,you still can repair it. If you have 5 or 6 holes, you need more time to repair them but if you have the whole roof collapsing down, can the 44th president save it?

In Chinese, 44 means die die.Something that most Chinese would want to avoid it.Maybe Obama being African American can break this curse! Let us pray.

Today is January 9, 2009. Gaza had been attacked for weeks.Not only 2 wars during his campaign that he promised to wind up but now, another new pounding headache.

Obama is taking over a big horrible mess from his predecessor Bush.An era full of misfortune events, hugely condemned mistakes,and countless of tricky conflicts. He is walking into office against a backdrop of bitterness and anger everywhere. I feel very sorry for him and very sure he has no time to breath after his inauguration.

Has 44 got to do with this ? We shall see the man that supposed to change the atmosphere of political and economical battle field will end on which platform.

Let us pray for him while he is leading us through the long and winding journey.

P.s. Take a close look at the photo I took from the main entrance of the front gate of my house .Just recently i noticed but I do not know when or how the scratched mark of 44 is crafted.
